National Gaming @ Your Library Day
Saturday, November 12th, starting at 10 A.M., the Warren Public Library will be opening its doors to all gamers of all generations! That's right, this isn't just a children's or teen game event. Gamers of all ages and genres can come and PLAY in the library. Some of the activities will include:
- Board Games, Card Games, RPG Games, and Table Top Games
- Laptops, X-box, Nintendo Wii, Playstation 2, and GameCube
- Competitions and Tournaments (Subject to event participation)
- Super Smash Bro Brawl Tournament (free for all)
- Mario Kart Wii Competition
- Halo Reach Competition
- Magic the Gathering Competition
X-Box Kinects with Game Night
Yes, it has finally happen! The March Game Night introduced its newest acquisition, the Microsoft X-Box 360 with Kinect. Several of our participants delved into the X-Box Experience with games like Halo Reach and Madden 2011. Several even attempted the Kinect games, like Dance Party and Kinect Sports. This event is held with support of the Mid-Winter Festival and the supporting individuals. The Game Night has also received several donations of chips and snacks from supportive patrons. We'd like to thanks everyone for their support and encourage other to support this activity and/or other activities provided by your library.

Volunteers Wanted
The Game Night is looking for parents and adults who would like to assist in the operation of the Game Night. If you have students that participate in the event or you just want to help the community, the event can use assistance with event operation, setup and/or tear down, food deliver/preparation, donation collection, & etc. Anyone wishing to help or wanting more information can contact Dale Aikens. For those of you that have helped in the past, from all of us at the library and the students attending... Thank You.
Game Night Continues
Remember, its not just computers. Along with all of our different game systems, including 2 Nintendo Wiis, a Nintendo Game Cube, and two Dance Pads (Similar to DDR), individuals have started bringing other activities. You are welcome to bring any games and ideas to the event! Some of the ideas we have tried include:

- Collectible Card Games like Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh! and World of War Craft.
- Collectible Model Games like Dragon Dice, War Hammer, and Battletech.
- Role-Playing Games like Shadowrun, Stargate, Serenety, and D20 Systems.
- Board Games like Chess, Monopoly, Battleship, Hangman and Axis and Allies.
- Computer Games like Runescape, Roblox, Age of Empires, and Project Torque.
- Game Systems like Nintendo's Wii and GameCube, Microsoft's Xbox and Sony's Playstations.
- New ideas are not only welcomed, but encouraged! Let us know what you want!
