The District Library Center provides these services to member libraries

Interlibrary Loan - If a book is unavailable on Access PA, a request can be sent to Warren Public Library's Interlibrary Loan department to locate the book for you.

Delivery - The District funds delivery service for materials to all member libraries.

Reference - District Librarians can call, email or contact by form the Warren Reference Department to have them help find answers to their questions.

Continuing Education - The District Center routinely offers workshops and seminars. Check the events page for more details.

Distict Consultant - The District Consultant acts as a liaison between Commonwealth Libraries in Harrisburg and the district libraries. The Consultant assists with grant writing, filing required state reports, selecting materials, library board concerns, etc. To assist meeting the new state library continuing education requirements, the Consultant provides access to appropriate workshops for the local library staff. The Consultant also acts as a library advocate before local, state and federal representatives. Periodic field visits to each district library are also an integral part of the District Consultant’s responsibilities.

District Technical Consultant - The District Techical Consultant provides in person, email, and phone technical support for all 17 member libraries, including hardware and software support, networking and communications setup and support, troubleshooting and repair, new systems installation, and web development. The District Tech also provides research and advice on systems purchasing, IT training, and assists with technology grant writing.
